Integrative nutrition combines conventional medical nutrition therapy practices based on evidence-based research and lifestyle changes (physical activity, stress reduction, sleep quality guidance) to provide the best care for the whole person to promote sustainable long-term change.
There are many health symptoms and medical conditions that can be improved with nutrition. Many times nutrient deficiencies lead to worsening of health conditions and once addressed clients can see significant improvement in symptoms. A Clinical Nutritionist is trained to analyze a person’s medical history, lab work, symptoms and complete nutrient-focused physical exams to provide personalized nutritional recommendations to improve health, prevent disease, or reduce symptoms of a chronic illness.
Goal setting is an important part of helping my clients facilitate long-term change. Goals are based on clients' personal values and our sessions are tailored toward providing the tools for them to reach those goals. As a non-diet approach clinic, I help shift focus toward how it might feel if … you woke up energized? You didn’t get irritable after lunch? Or you didn’t have to worry about where the nearest restroom was due to digestive symptoms?
Many clients also have goals to improve risk factors for disease such as lowering cholesterol, managing blood sugar levels, and reducing inflammatory markers on lab work.
Teens through all ages of adults.
Unfortunately, we do not take insurance at this time. Clinical Nutrition services are generally not covered by the majority of insurance plans at this time, except in certain states or for certain medical conditions. We do accept HSA/FSA cards as a form of payment, if your plan allows for nutrition services.
My approach is food first, however, I do often recommend supplements for temporary periods of recovery or certain medical conditions. I provide my clients with a link to their personalized recommendations through FullScript dispensary. I can not provide general recommendations without a full consultation.
